Monday 4 January 2010Ok fire safety on Heidrun
No non-conformities were found during an audit of the fire and explosion safety on Statoil's Heidrun platform, the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway reports.
"The audit showed that personnel on Heidrun follow up and pay attention to the findings made following the TTS mapping (Teknisk Tilstand Sikkerhet). Planning and implementation of activities on Heidrun are carried out in cooperation between land and offshore", PSA writes.
Whilst there were no non-conformities, there was a potential for improvement. The reliability of some safety-critical barriers systems can be improved, and the function tests which were carried out in connection with selected safety systems, identified faults.
