Monday 6 April 2009April 8th: Navingo Maritime & Offshore Career Event 2009
On April 8th 2009, Navingo BV (MaritiemeVacaturebank.nl) organises the Maritime & Offshore Career Event for the third time. The biggest career and training event in the maritime and offshore sector, held in the Beurs-WTC Rotterdam, is considered as an important part of the maritime labour market.
At 11.30 am, CEO of Port of Rotterdam, Hans Smits, will officially open the Navingo Maritime & Offshore Career Event 2009. The opening taks place at the Rotterdam Hall of the Beurs-WTC in Rotterdam.
More than 120 shipping companies, shipbuilders, suppliers, training establishments and trade associations and other maritime companies will show their career- and training opportunities to the visitors.
Programme
The third edition has a varied programme. Between 11.30 am and 3.30 pm, some exhibitors will show a company presentation in Leeuwen Room 1 and 2. In the afternoon, the interactive seminar 'Shore Support, Break with Traditions' (NL) and the Nautical-Technical seminar with several lectures will take place.
Network reception
While the fair continues untill 7 pm, the informal network reception will start at 5.30 pm. Druing an hour an a half visitor get the opportunity to chat with each other about their experiences, but also to chat with interesting potential future employers.
Visitors
Last year, 2360 students and (young) professionals visited the Navingo Maritime & Offshore Career Event. Navingo BV expects a slight increase in the visitor numbers for this edition.
Short, for everyone who wants to be involved in this flourishing sector, the Navingo Maritime & Offshore Career Event 2009 is an excellent opportunity to increase your network. The opening hours of the event are from 11.00am till 07.00pm. This enables visitors to go to the event after working hours, school or lectures and could result in a meeting with a future employer.
