Description
The Facilities Engineer will be responsible for the daily engineering aspects of the BDF and PGI plants and onshore well locations. He/she will provide operational process engineering support varying from data gathering, trouble shooting and optimizing processes thru appraisal of modifications, FEED study and recommendation for execution of small modifications projects.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Give active guidance and support to the field operating personnel and responsible for day-to-day facility problems in areas as; integrity, production capacity, process treatment, equipment & unit performance
- Monitors overall production /process performance using plant process data systems and analyses this for deviations and trends
- Managing project as built documentation after close-out of projects and modifications
- Operational/Process engineering input during design of projects
- Participate and organize HAZOP, SIL, RBI and HSE reviews
- To perform these tasks, the facilities engineer makes use of engineering contractors, interfaces with manufacturers, and has close contact with operations and process and other networks within the TAQA organization
- Comply with TAQA Critical (safe) Work Standards and HSE policies
- Support Incident investigations and root cause analyses
Business Qualifications
- Recognised degree in (chemical/process) engineering (HTS, WO)
- Leadership in HSE and particular process safety
- 5 years of relevant experience
Skills and Competencies
- Ability to communicate in the English and Dutch language
- Operational and troubleshooting knowledge
- Experience with gas treating facilities
- Experience with Condensate/Oil production and processing
- Use of process simulation tools (e.g. HYSYS)
- Experience with Engineering Contractors
- Start-up and commissioning of Production systems
- The ability to work as a part of a multi-discipline project team
- Good communication skills
- Required skills to prioritise HSE, Operational and Project related work

Working hours : Full time
Duration : Starting off with a one year Staff contract with the option
to extend for an indefinite period of time

Please note there are plans in place for the TAQA Energy Head Office to move to the Alkmaar region after completion of the Bergermeer project.
